There are many foundation systems available and KGA aims to provide the optimum foundation solution for your site.
Following subsurface investigation, KGA can provide foundation options and geotechnical design parameters for the foundation design. For residential dwellings on competent soils, to be built in general in accordance with NZS3604:2011, conventional shallow foundations are generally suitable. However, for heavy structures, or on sites where there is weak ground or liquefiable soils, or where the ground surface is sloping, other foundation options may be required.
These may include:
Structural rafts
Bored or driven piles
Screw piles
Heavy foundations
Stone columns
Ground improvement
The foundation selection must also take into account the impact that the works may have on neighbouring buildings and retaining structures. KGA can undertake soil-structure interaction assessments to ensure that the the proposed foundations do not have any adverse effect on neighbouring land.
